HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Astros organization is inviting schools and youth groups to take part in its new educational field trip program at Daikin Park. The program, designed to provide a unique learning experience, offers a variety of tours that combine baseball history with science, technology, engineering, and career exploration.

The initiative aims to give students an inside look at the operations of a major league ballpark and an MLB franchise. Tours are available Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The primary Educational Tour, tailored for students in grades 1 through 8, includes a comprehensive look at the ballpark’s history and key areas, such as the Press Box, the dugouts, and the Honda Club Level. The Astros have also collaborated with the National Baseball Hall of Fame to provide supplemental lesson plans that meet Common Core State Standards, allowing teachers to integrate the tour experience directly into their classroom curriculum.

For older students in grades 6 through college, a selection of more specialized tours is available. The Career Day Tour features a guest speaker from an Astros department, offering insight into various professions within professional baseball. The STEM Tour focuses on the science and engineering behind the game and the stadium’s unique retractable roof. Additionally, a Photo Scavenger Hunt provides an interactive and engaging way for students to explore the ballpark.

Groups interested in booking a tour can find more information or make reservations by emailing tourstaff@astros.com. The program offers a unique opportunity for students to learn outside the classroom in an exciting and historic environment.
