HOUSTON, TEXAS — September 17, 2025 — The Houston Astros today announced the official opening of auditions for the 2026 Coca-Cola Shooting Stars team, a new group of on-field entertainers and community ambassadors. The organization is seeking talented, well-spoken, and dedicated individuals to create an interactive and family-friendly experience for fans at Houston Astros home games and community events.
This year, auditions will be conducted via online video submissions. The submission window opens today, Monday, September 15, 2025, and will close on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Candidates must submit two videos—a 15-second introduction and a 60-second choreographed pom-style dance—along with a headshot and full-length photo. All applicants must have performance-ready hair and makeup and be in form-fitting athletic wear.
Those who advance will receive an invitation via email on Wednesday, November 12, to attend the in-person callbacks. The three-day callback process will take place at Union Station at Daikin Park from Saturday, November 15, through Monday, November 17. The first day will focus on dance, the second on professional interviews, and the third will be a final dance day.
The Astros organization is looking for candidates who demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and teamwork. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by November 25, 2025, and have graduated from high school. They must live within 100 miles of Daikin Park and be able to commit to a one-year term of service, including a minimum of 60 home games during the 2026 season.
The selected team members will be paid for their work and will gain experience working in Major League Baseball. They will participate in in-game promotions, perform dances, and represent the Astros brand at community and charity events. The team will hold its first mandatory event, team onboarding, on December 10, 2025, followed by the first dance practice on December 14, 2025.
