Astros fans heading to Daikin Park on Saturday have 10,000 reasons to arrive when the gates open—and one of them could pay off for an entire year.
The first 10,000 fans at Saturday’s game against the Seattle Mariners will receive a Yordan Alvarez Home Run Train bobblehead, presented by Phillips 66. But one fan will receive a special golden version that comes with an even bigger prize: free gas for a year.
The bobblehead features Alvarez riding the Astros’ Home Run Train, complete with a load of baseballs behind him.
The sweepstakes runs from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central on Saturday. Fans attending the game will be automatically entered when their ticket is scanned through the MLB Ballpark app. Those who aren’t attending can also enter by email. One winner will be selected at random to receive the gold Yordan Alvarez Home Run Train bobblehead and 660 gallons’ worth of gas, with the fuel funds provided digitally through the Fuel Forward app. The total prize has an approximate retail value of $1,768.
Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. Central, with gates opening at 4 p.m.
With only 10,000 Home Run Train bobbleheads available, fans hoping to take one home should plan to be at Daikin Park when gates open.
