The Houston Astros will open the 2027 regular season at Daikin Park, hosting the Texas Rangers on March 25 to begin a three-game Opening Day series.
It marks the third time the Astros and Rangers are scheduled to meet on Opening Day, following season openers in 2013 and 2018. Houston’s opening homestand also includes a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox before the club heads out for its first road trip with stops in Atlanta and Boston.
The schedule includes several notable stretches throughout the season. Houston has four off-days during its first 19 days before settling into a more demanding schedule. The Astros’ longest stretch without an off-day comes from April 30 through May 12, when they are scheduled to play 13 consecutive games.
Holiday baseball also highlights the schedule. Houston hosts the Seattle Mariners on Memorial Day, visits Yankee Stadium over Fourth of July weekend, and travels to St. Louis to face the Cardinals on Labor Day.
Following the All-Star break, Houston has two extended homestands. The first runs from July 23 through Aug. 1 and features the Rockies, Tigers and Padres. The second spans Aug. 10-19, when the Orioles, Twins and Mets come to Daikin Park.
The Astros are scheduled to conclude the regular season with road series against the Athletics and Angels as they make one final push toward the postseason.
While the 2027 schedule has been announced, it remains subject to change. Major League Baseball’s current collective bargaining agreement expires Dec. 1, and any future labor agreement could affect the schedule before Opening Day.
