Ronel Blanco is back, baby.
Blanco makes his long-awaited return to the Astros’ rotation after recovering from Tommy John surgery. Astros fans certainly haven’t forgotten his no-hitter against the Blue Jays on April 1, 2024—the first no-hitter of the season and the earliest calendar-date no-hitter in Major League Baseball history.
The Astros also welcome back Jeremy Peña, who returns to the leadoff spot after missing Sunday’s game. Houston opens a three-game series against the Marlins looking to put a rough weekend behind it, and the returns of Blanco and Peña couldn’t come at a better time.
