Astros to Host Venezuela Earthquake Relief Drive at Daikin Park
The Houston Astros and Astros Foundation are partnering with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) to host a disaster relief drive for victims of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.
Donations will be accepted Thursday, July 2, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Union Station at Daikin Park (501 Crawford St., Houston, TX 77002). Fans attending Friday’s game between the Astros and Tampa Bay Rays can also bring donations, with collection bins available at all ballpark gates.
The drive is seeking a wide range of emergency supplies, including non-perishable food, bottled water, hygiene items, diapers, pet supplies, batteries, flashlights, first aid kits, and new temporary household essentials such as sleeping bags, tents, blankets, backpacks, cots, air mattresses, and suitcases.
