Fans attending Houston Astros games at Daikin Park should plan ahead when deciding what to bring into the stadium. The ballpark follows MLB security guidelines designed to speed up entry and maintain a safe environment for everyone.
Bags larger than 16” x 16” x 8” are not permitted inside the stadium. This applies to most backpacks, large purses, and oversized totes.
Backpacks are generally prohibited. Possible exceptions may include diaper bags, single-compartment drawstring bags, and bags used for medical reasons, provided they fall within the MLB size requirements and are subject to inspection at the gate.
Small personal bags and clutches are allowed, and all permitted items may be checked by security before entry. Fans are encouraged to bring only essential items to help move through security lines more quickly, especially during high-attendance games.
If there’s any uncertainty about whether a bag meets the size requirements, it’s best to leave it at home or in your vehicle to avoid delays at the gate.
